His Holiness, Srila Vyasdev, compiled narrations / stories of The Supreme God, the Father, in His various avatars, incarnations and personalities that God does from time to time and yuga to protect the righteous, annihilate the wicked and Restore the principles of the religion.

It is affirmed in Vishnu Purana:

"The supreme goal achieved in Satya-yuga by years of prolonged meditation, in Treta-yuga by performing extensive yajnas, in Dvapara-yuga by the opulent and scrupulous worship of the Deity, the chanting of the holy names of Kesava (Krsna) ) ".

It is stated in the Srimad Bhagavatam (verse 1.3.40):

"This Srimad Bhagavatam is the literary incarnation of God, and is compiled by Śrīla Vyāsadeva, the incarnation of God, destined for the ultimate good of all people, and is all success, blessed and perfect."

From there, the names of God and the narrations of related stories make Srimad Bhagavatam a rasa / blissful sastra.

There are many speakers of Srimad Bhagavatam, of whom the following 3 are known:

1) Knowledge was revealed to Brahma, the progenitor of Brahma Sampraday with his current affiliation of yuga to Gaudiya Vaisnavism, who was blessed with the Svayambhu incarnation of The Supreme Godhead, as a devotee called Radha (intrinsic potency of the Supreme Personality of Godhead - Krishna) called Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, in the heart. Brahma spoke with Narada and Narada spoke with Veda Vyasa.

2) Lord Shiva, the progenitor of Rudra Sampraday, also spoke with Paravati in the Amarnath cave and was heard by Shukadeva, son of Veda Vyasa. This application contains verses spoken by Shukadeva.

3) The four Kumaras, the progenitors of Nimbarka Sampraday, where it is said that Radha has a mood of matrimony-madhurya towards Krishna, they heard from Lord Sankarshan (Ananta / Sheshnaag). The four Kumaras spoke with Sankhyana rishi and then Sankhyayan Rishi spoke with Parashar muni, the father of Śrīla Vyāsadeva.

The Srimad Bhagavatam is considered the essence of all the Vedas. It is to give the highest knowledge and experience of the Supreme Personality of Godhead and the reciprocation of loving exchanges between Him and His devotees.
