In this post, I am going to show you how to install AH Insecten on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install AH Insecten using BlueStacks

Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
Once installed, click "AH Insecten" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

We bring these little friends to life in augmented reality (AR) in the insect collection, go on an insect safari in our beautiful nature and help the bees in the Netherlands by counting bees on 13 and 14 April! Below you can read exactly how the app works and further we say: be surprised by the powerful world of the smallest animals in our nature!

Insect collection
• Save all 40 insect images to bring them to life in your insect collection.
• Point your phone at one of the pictures to add it to your collection and see it appear in AR.
• Aim well at the picture and make sure it is clearly visible and illuminated.
• Then tap one of the buttons to see the insects move in slow motion, make it giant size, control it with the joystick or turn yourself into an insect with an insect filter.

Insect Safari
• Choose one of the insect safaris and head out into different Dutch landscapes to discover many more insects. Who knows, you might also come across a number of acquaintances!
• Use the tips from Freek and Naturalis to spot as many special insects as possible. Have you seen an insect? Then try to take a photo and save your spotted insects in your logbook.
• Do you want to know more about the many hundreds of insects that live in the Netherlands? Then take a look at the Natuurwijzer from Naturalis.

Beekeeping
• On April 13 and 14 you can count bees together with Freek. On the countdown clock in the app you can see exactly how long it will take before the real counting weekend starts.
• To prepare you well, you can make a practice tour in advance and invite your friends to join you.
• Walk around your garden or balcony on 13 or 14 April, count the bees you encounter for half an hour and choose which species you have seen. Is it a bee, bumblebee, glider or wasp?
• You can also get an official counting form from the store to participate in the official National Beekeeping.
