The story of "Barnabas, the little dog with a lion's heart!" is an adventure full of little educational games for kids. It traces the joyful adventures of a small adventurer dog, who makes many encounters and experiences. Each stage of his adventure is an opportunity for the child to experience a fun and / or educational activity, which always solicit abilities (concentration, reflection, restitution, intellectualization, etc.) allowing him to stimulate his cognitive skills, so to learn better, and that, with pleasure!


There are six mini-games:

- Game 1: Barnabas look at the sky, and watch the birds. The child will have to count them. It will have to be very observant, because the birds move, can be masked temporarily in the branches of the trees. The child's attention is particularly stimulated in this observation game. He will have to take the time to think before formulating his answer.

- Games 2 and 7: Barnabé meets a mother-boar (the hure) whose small children (young boars) are stuck in a cave. The child will have to solve the enigma to free the young boars. Through this particularly cute game, the child will exercise his spirit of reflection and logic, but also initiative. In game 7, Barnabé meets a mother-turtle.

- Game 3: Barnabas looks at the starry night, and in this calm and poetic atmosphere, the stars emit notes of music that the child will have to reproduce to continue. It is a style game where the musical notes played are more numerous, and the effort of attention and restitution more supported. The sounds are crystalline to promote a return to calm. It is an ideal game to play in the evening, at the time of the child's bedtime.

- Games 4 and 5: in his journey, Barnabas runs through the countryside, forests, and meadows ... His journey is represented by those two mini-games in which the child will learn to develop his tactile motor skills, and neuronal connections "eye-hand", essential to its development. Through this very simple game, the child directs the little dog Barnabas and makes him jump obstacles. Just press the button, very clearly identified, to make the dog jump.

- Game 6: in this field of flowers, Barnabas runs in all directions. The child is asked to pick up all the yellow flowers. It's a simple observation game, and restitution. Rather calm and relaxing, this game allows the child to (e) enhance his own recognition and intellectual skills.

- Game 8: a game of coordination and attention. Barnabé meets a hungry duck. A river passes in front of the screen, and the child will have to recover the fruits floating on the river to give them to the duck. It's a game of attention, motor coordination

With each success, the voice congratulates him and encourages the child, in order to value his progression. The application offering a narration (no need to know how to read), the child also learns to be autonomous in its use. He plays "like a big guy", all alone in his game.

Initially, I programmed this application for my daughter (4 years), who enjoyed it a lot. The application is very simple, but he liked it a lot. She applauded in front of her tablet with great enthusiasm!
