According to Quraish Shihab, the word Qadar (قﺩﺭ) according to its use in the verses of the Qur'an can have three meanings namely [1]:

Determination and arrangement so that Lailat Al-Qadar is understood as the night of the stipulation of God for the journey of human life. The use of Qadar as a provision can be found in the letter Ad-Dukhan verses 3-5: Indeed, We sent it down (Al-Quran) one night, and in fact We gave the warning. On that night all the matters explained were full of wisdom, namely a big affair at Our side
Glory. The night was an unequaled glorious night. He is noble because he was chosen as the night of the downfall of the Koran. The use of Qadar which refers to glory can be found in Al-An'am (6): 91 which speaks of polytheists: They did not glorify Allah with the proper glory, when they said that Allah did not bring down anything to the people
Narrow. The night was a narrow night, because of the many angels descending to earth, as confirmed in the letter of Al-Qadr. The use of Qadar to symbolize narrowness can be found in the letter Ar-Ra'd verse 26: Allah enlarges the desired sustenance and narrows it (for what He wants)

We can also interpret Lailatul Qadar as the night of the overthrowing of the virtues promised by Allah to Muslims who want to get a share of the virtue. This virtue is based on the value of Lailatul Qadar as a better night than a thousand months.
