Who doesn't know Ustadz Abdul Somad (UAS)? Ustadz (KBBI: Ustadz) Somad, as a video preacher, has also spread widely on social media and has been popular throughout Indonesia.
UAS was born on Wednesday, May 18, 1977 or 30 Jumadil Awal 1397 H in a village called Silo Lama, Silau Laut, Kabupeten Asahan, North Sumatra.
Ustadz Abdul Somad took basic education at Al-Washliyah Elementary School in Medan and graduated in 1990.
then proceeded to the MTs Mu'allimin Al-Washliyah which was also still in Medan and finished in 1993.
During the following year, UAS studied at the Darul Arafah Islamic Boarding School, Deliserdang, North Sumatra.
On the overseas land, UAS continued its education to the Aliyah Nurul Falah Madrasah, Air Molek, Indragiri Hulu until graduating three years later.
In 1998, UAS received a scholarship to study at Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt.
UAS and 99 other people got rid of 900 participants who participated in the selection.
"Then he went on to Al-Azhar University in 1998 to 2002. Four years I went home, continued to UKM, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, majoring in FPI, Faculti of Islamic Studies,"
He then received a S2 scholarship from The Moroccan Agency of International Cooperation at Dar El-Hadith El-Hassania Institute, Morocco.
