Five Minutes is a music group from Kota Kembang Bandung established in 1994. Now, Five Minutes is fronted by Ricky Tjahyadi (keyboard), Richie Setiawan (vocals), Drie Warnanta (bass), Roelhilman (guitar), and Aria Yudhistira (drums )

The selection of the name Five Minutes has its own story. Ricky said, the band was formed 14 years ago. It started in the early 1990s, when Ricky and Drie formed a band that appeared from cafes to cafes in Flower City. In 1994, both of them looked for personnel to complete the formation to participate in the West Java-DKI Band Festival in Bandung. Ricky and Drie invited Sonny (guitarist) who is the younger brother of Ricky FM, Sanny (vocalist) and Dicky (drum) by telephone. In less than five minutes, they managed to form a band to participate in the festival. That is why they use the name Five Minutes. "Because the process is less than five minutes. So we chose that name, "said Ricky FM. Amazingly, even though it was only formed, they immediately won the band festival which was attended by 102 participants from Bandung and Jakarta. The success then led them into the recording kitchen.

Their first album titled Five Minutes (1995), followed by Five Minutes 2 (1996), Romantik (1997), Ouw! (1997), Sekat (2002), and The Best +5 (2004). The unique appearance of wearing a sarong on the stage is one of their attractions. The debut album titled Five Minutes was released in 1995. A year later (in 1996), they released their second album titled Five Minutes 2. Once the third album was released, namely Ouw! in 1997, Dicky, who at that time was trusted in the drum position, finally resigned from Five Minutes because of differences of opinion. From that moment Five Minutes consisted of only four people without Dick. After Dicky left Five Minutes, the arrangement and drum music was filled by Ricky to cover up the weaknesses and shortcomings of the instruments in the song.

In 2004, after Five Minutes released the album The Best + 5, Sanny, who at that time was believed to be a vocalist and Sonny, who at that time was believed to be a guitar following in Dicky's footsteps, namely retreating from Five Minutes. Feeling overwhelmed by the lack of band members, this made Five Minutes vacuum for 3 years. Ricky himself is still active in the music scene. He supported Ari Lasso (2002-2006), wrote a number of songs for the former vocalist of the band Dewa 19. Some of the songs that Ricky wrote for Ari Lasso are Hampa, the Meaning of Love, Peace of Mind, and Ifs. In addition, he also wrote songs for Titi DJ, Rossa, Tere, Sania, and so on.

After a long vacuum, Ricky and Drie found Richie who was trusted to fill the vocal void, then followed by Roelhilman who was trusted to fill the guitar void, and Aria Yudhistira to fill the drum void. After the band's complete formation, finally in 2007, Five Minutes published the Rockmantic album with a new and more modern musical atmosphere. They also took off the sarong that had been sticky as their image. Relying on the song "Survive" as a single, Five Minutes won a record as the highest band requested in radio range.
