OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME:
The objective of the game is to discriminate between quantities represented in two different ways: symbolic (numbers) and non-symbolic (points).
SKILL TO TRAIN:
Comparison of magnitudes in different forms of representation.
DYNAMICS OF THE GAME:
Two panels with different quantities to be compared are presented. These magnitudes can be displayed symbolically or non-symbolically depending on the level of difficulty. The player must choose that panel where there is more or less quantity, according to the instruction received. The quantities range in a range of 0 to 9.
LEVELS OF THE GAME:
The game has three levels:
1. First level: The quantities to be compared are represented by points.
2. Second level: The quantities to be compared are numbers.
3. Third level: Two panels are compared with quantities represented in different ways, points appear in one and a number in the other.
Each of the levels consists of 3 different exercises, composed in turn of 5 items. Thus, in exercise 1, the player must select the panel where there is more; in exercise 2, the panel where there is less; and in exercise 3, the instruction will alternate between selecting the option where there is more and the one that has less.
RESPONSE MODALITY:
The answer is made digitally by pressing one of the two panels to choose. There is no maximum response time, that is, the player can take as much time as he needs to respond.
SCORING AND FEEDBACK:
To overcome a level, the player must overcome each of the three exercises that make up the level. And to move from one exercise to the next, the player must hit 80% of the plays, that is, he must correctly answer a minimum of 4 comparisons of the 5 that make up the exercise. If a player does not exceed this 80% in any of the exercises that make up a level, the game ends and Mon the Dragon will appear sad. If, on the other hand, the player overcomes all the exercises and passes the level, the dragon will be happy.
