Linkin Park is a nu metal and alternative rock music group originating from Agoura Hills, California, in the United States. They had changed names several times, including Xero, Hybrid Theory, to the name Linkin Park until now. The name "Linkin Park" itself is a play on the name of a park in Los Angeles, Lincoln Park.
Before Chester Bennington became Linkin Park's vocalist, Mark Wakefield first became his vocalist. However, he left Linkin Park to look for another project (becoming Taproot band manager) - when it used the name Hybrid Theory to become the manager of the Taproot music group. Bassist Dave Farrell aka "Phoenix" also briefly left Linkin Park to take a tour with his old band, Tasty Snax. While 4 other personnel Brad Delson, Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, and Rob Bourdon always stayed at Linkin Park since the beginning of its formation.
Linkin Park has released 6 studio albums, namely Hybrid Theory, Meteora, Minutes to Midnight, A Thousand Suns, Living Things, The Hunting Party and One More Light. Linkin Park also released the album Live in Texas, Reanimation, and Collision Course, and Hybrid Theory EP. Linkin Park was successful in popularizing its songs such as Crawling, In the End, Numb, Somewhere I Belong, and What I've Done. In total, Linkin Park's albums have sold 50 million copies.

History
The beginning
The beginning of the formation of Linkin Park was the meeting of Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson (Linkin Park guitarist) in class 7. Then they formed a band called Xero. Brad also played for the Relative Degree band, one of his personnel, Rob Bourdon (Linkin Park drummer). Mike met Rob through Brad and Rob joined Xero. During college, Brad became acquainted with Dave "Phoenix" Farrell (Linkin Park's bassist) who was Brad's roommate. Mike, who majored in illustration at Pasadena University of Art, met Joe Hahn (Linkin Park turntablis). Then, Dave Farrell and Joe Hahn joined Xero. Dave had left Xero to rejoin his old band, Tasty Snax.
At first, they recruited Mark Wakefield as a vocalist, then were taken over by Chester Bennington (former Gray Daze vocalist) until now, while Mike then became a rapper. Unfortunately, because Xero's name was already used by another group, they were forced to change the name to Hybrid Theory. Then after being rejected 3 times, Hybrid Theory was successfully received by a record company called Warner Bros. Records after successfully launching an EP entitled Hybrid Theory EP in 1999 totaling a thousand pieces. However, at that time Mike had a problem with Jeff Blue, his manager. Jeff Blue said that Mike did not need to rapping, just play the keyboard. This incident inspired Mike to write the song Get Me Gone (Fort Minor)
Once again, they were forced to change names because the name Hybrid Theory was similar to the name of the Hybrid music group originating from Wales. Instead of being considered the same band, they chose to change their name again to Linkin Park. However, before being named Linkin Park, they had changed their name to 0818. The name was also only known in mid-2009, when Brad Delson spoke at the graduation ceremony at UCLA, Los Angeles, mid-2009 ago. The name Linkin Park was taken by Chester from the name of a park in Los Angeles, Lincoln Park. In order to manage their own website, Chester changed the spelling to Linkin Park. After that, they managed to buy the website www.linkinpark.com.
