1998 - 2000: Early formation of Naff
Naff was formed in 1998 and domiciled in Bandung. This band was formed by four young people from Bandung. Rusyaedi Makmun was one of the founders of the band and got the position of vocalist and creator of Naff songs. Ady invited Odeu and Ade who initially played drums, but now both are guitarists.

They also agreed to record their song demonstrations at Kanamusik Studio in Bandung. It turned out that the owner of the music studio was Dedi, a graduate of Wake Tecnical College's 95th Associate Degree and Diploma at the National Radio Institute officially joining as a guitarist.

They have released an album Born as a sign of their presence.

2001 - 2002: Flying High
Their second album titled Terbang Tinggi ', which was released in 2001, began to make the NaFF known publicly with the song title' a.n.g. '

2002 - 2003: Self-Titled Album
In 2003, Naff released an album whose title matched their band's name. The song that became the single was Terendap Laraku ', this song also became a quite booming song. And on this album they also introduced their new member named 'Hilal', where on the previous album Hilal played as an additional player on some of their songs.

2006 - 2008: Heart Signs (Naff's name is publicly known)
In 2006, they also released an album entitled Heart Signs. The main song in this album is You Are Still My Beloved and Finally I Found You. After releasing the album, then the name Naff was known to the public. In 2007, they released a single hit, "Harus Saja" for the soundtrack to the film Coklat Stroberi and the song When Everything Needs to End from the album Isyarat Hati, again included in the album.

2008 - 2009: Secret Heart
In 2008, Naff released an album entitled Rahasia Hati with Kaulah Hidup dan Matiku and Not as Beautiful as the True Love as the main song in this album.

2009 - 2010: Humming Heart and Soul
In 2009, they released an album entitled Senandung Hati and Soul. However, in this album they use live acoustic music. If Later You Have Me as the main song in this album.

2010 - 2011: Ady's exit
The vocalist of Naff, Ady, officially resigned from his band, which had raised his name for a long time. Then, they also held an audition for the new vocalist Naff. After the audition was completed, Indonesian Idol graduated, Arda was officially elected to replace Ady as a vocalist.

2011: Chapter 07 (New Beginning), a sign of the presence of a new formation Naff
After Ady's death, they released a recent album entitled Chapter 07 (New Beginning) as well as the introduction of the new Naff formation, namely Arda as a vocalist. In this album, they gave birth to a mainstay song titled Sin What and Don't Need Answers.
