In this post, I am going to show you how to install Campus Guide on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Campus Guide using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Campus Guide" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

The SJH Campus Guide has been designed as a guide for getting around the St. James’s Hospital campus in Dublin 8, Ireland. The primary purpose is to assist patients, visitors and staff to locate facilities and amenities across the campus and to make it easier to engage with hospital services.

Features of the app include:
- How to get here
- Campus Maps (for getting around the campus once you have arrived)
- Video Guides (short videos showing how to get from A to B)
- Alerts (highlighting key changes of the campus including new buildings opening or some services moving from one building to another)
- Contact Details
- Public Transport Information
- Favourites Tab – to allow you to build your own set of services/amenties
- Search – using text to search the entire app for a location/service
- Dynamic changes – each location/amenity in the app includes a button to “suggest change” which get emailed to us for consideration. You can also suggest a “new place” that is not yet in the app by going to the information tab on the homescreen. Any changes we then make get pushed into the app on your phone (i.e. you don’t need to update the app or download it again to get this new changes).
- Offline Access – Maps and images are all available offline (no internet needed) once you have installed the app. Videos however do require an internet connection (streamed).
