Burcu Güneş (August 12, 1975, Izmir), Turkish singer, songwriter, composer.

Burcu Güneş was born on August 12, 1975 in Izmir - Alsancak. Her mother is Bige Özkan and her father is guitarist Ali Güneş. He spent his childhood in İzmir - Şirinyer. Güneş, who remained with her father from the age of seven when her mother and father divorced, decided to stay with her mother when she was 18. In 2001, she was chosen "Ideal Turkish Girl" by TAÇSAV.

He made his first composition at the age of 12. He started his first stage experience when he moved from Izmir to Antalya, at the age of 13 by vocalizing his father. He sang jazz and pop music in big hotels and holiday villages with the dio, trio and orchestras he established with his father. The nickname "The White Girl with Black Throat" worn by people who came to listen to the sun in those years was a definition that remained from those days. In the same period, he started to step into professional life with his world-famous classical pianist Burçin Büke, who came to Izmir that year to listen to his own lyrics and compositions. They entered the studio together, created songs for both, prepared their recordings and sent them to Istanbul, Raks Music record label. A week later, with the offer from this company, he was urgently called to Istanbul to prepare his first album.


In 1999, he performed a duet with Rafet El Roman on the song "Last Letter". In the same year, he started the preparations for the second album with the musician Melik Yirmibir, who lived in America. He wrote 5 Ara Dinkjian songs in the album. The work in pop culture combined with this ethnic music style was completed with the contributions of world-renowned musicians in America. Horacio El Negro Hernandez on drum, Jim Beard on keyboard, Arto Tunçboyacıyan on percussion are some of them. In this album work, he interpreted the Turkish Art Music song called "Çile Bülbülüm" which is a work other than his style. The song "We Play Love Love Angels" by Erhan Güleryuz, the soloist of the Mirror, was also included in this album. The album exceeded 1 million circulation in 2001 and became one of the best selling pop albums of that year.

He started preparations for the third album in 2002. He continued to work with Erol Köse as "Executive Producer". After 2 years of album work, he released his third album, Ay Şahit, which he co-directed with Tufan Taş, in 2004. He made the lyrics and music of 7 songs himself. He also worked with names such as Nazan Öncel, Fettah Can, Aysel Gürel and Selami Şahin in the album. In Mert Ekren's song "Sahilden", he performed with the penalty. In the same year, he appeared in the movie named Neredesin Firuze and in the soundtrack album with the song “Gaip Yol”. Then, Güneş, who started to have disagreements with his company and had a struggle period until the SDIF tender, bought his contract and the rights of his artistic activities.
