The application presented was born of the desire to share the richness of the word that we receive every day in the liturgy. It is also a concrete response to the invitation expressed in the Constitution on the Liturgy of the Second Vatican Council that "the faithful actively participate in liturgical celebrations, because this is what the liturgy itself demands" (see KL 14). Therefore, we hope that our application will help in a more conscious and thus more complete and active participation in the liturgy.

The title "From Words to Life" indicates the path we have to overcome. The word that we hear in the liturgy - not only in the readings, but also the one that is spoken on our behalf by the priest in the form of prayers - is to become our life, to transform and shape it. Therefore, we propose that the meeting with the word should take place on three levels:

the mind - which, by carefully reading and listening to the word, opens itself to the truth contained in it;

the will - which is strengthened by considering the word with the help of the general introduction to the whole liturgy and consideration after each reading, thanks to which we are grounded in the desire to follow Jesus who is the way and shows us his life in the right direction;

hearts - which, moved by the word, will be kindled with love for Jesus, the Master and brothers and sisters. And this love will be expressed by taking a concrete action in life.

Help in recognizing what action to do is both questions that can be found at the end of each day, as well as our own movements of the heart.

The application also includes additional texts that can help in better experiencing the liturgy and personal prayer: texts of Eucharistic preferences and prayers that form an integral part of the Liturgy of the Mass. - it is worth taking some time to consider these texts too, so that they too become an inspiration for the prayer that comes from the heart. In addition, morning and evening prayers, a prayer to Saint. Michael the Archangel. A litany to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, to the Precious Blood, to the Most Holy Name of Jesus, as well as the Litany of Loreto to the Blessed Virgin Mary and rosary meditations.

We would like to wish that our application will also help those who can not participate in the daily liturgy and want to enrich it, understand it and deepen its meaning in their daily prayer. We hope that all of its users will be accompanied by the app in various everyday situations: during commuting to work, to school, to the university, and above all during everyday meetings with the Lord.

The application itself is free, but access to certain parts such as comments or readings is payable. This is to help us maintain it and adapt its content to the needs of people who use both the application and the traditional, printed version of our monthly liturgical magazine "From the Word to Life".
