The Badische Zeitung presents the BZ ostrich guide!
Ostrich farming is a gastronomic specialty in southern Baden. These farms are only open a few months a year and mainly offer home-made products and regional specialties. The BZ ostrich guide provides the most important information on almost 100 ostrich farms in southern Baden.

When you download the app, you will receive a few ostriches with you to get a first impression of the functions of the BZ ostrich guide. In order to use the full BZ ostrich guide, it is necessary to activate the current ostrich package. To do this, you can tap "Unlock all ostriches now" above the ostrich list or select the menu item "Unlock package" in the top right. You can then purchase the package you want in the following steps. This package is then downloaded directly, after which all content is available.

Digital subscribers to the Badische Zeitung receive the subscriber edition free of charge under the menu item "Unlock package". The BZ Ostrich Guide provides all the important information about up to 100 ostriches and wine taverns (including a full concession) from Freiburg, Breisgau, Kaiserstuhl, Markgräflerland, Ortenau and the district of Lörrach:

Thanks to the diverse sorting options, you can have the ostrich farms displayed according to your own individual wishes - for example, alphabetically sorted by the name of the ostrich farm, its location or your favorites. Likewise, you can only view the currently open ostriches. Or those ostrich farms that are nearby. A simple traffic light system shows at a glance whether an ostrich has opened or not.

With this traffic light, you can immediately see on the clear map where the closest ostrich shops are or which ostriches have just opened. With the GPS location function, the distance (beeline) to the ostriches can be displayed. So you can also find hidden ostriches unerringly.
