This woman born in Sukabumi, West Java, December 12, 1973 was a child of the HM Syaminan and Mulyanah couples. Desy Ratnasari spent her childhood and school in the city of Sukabumi. He graduated from Senior High School 3 at the age of 19 and went on to pursue a higher level in Jakarta.

When he was in high school, he tried the model world. He has attested Desy's achievements outside of school at the age of 14. At that age, Desy began his career in the entertainment world in the arena of the selection of Cover Girls in 1987. He won the runner-up and outperformed his fellow colleagues who also became top artists, Bella Saphira.

A year later he got an acting offer in the series "Our Home Window". The soap opera that aired on TVRI turned out to open opportunities and fortune Desy who brought it to the peak of success.

He is good at acting in films and soap operas. Almost all the films and soap operas that he starred drew the attention of the audience. Desy has starred in 11 big screen films and 20 soap operas. The sad character of his face made him subscribe to the role of protagonist.

The famous films he starred include Olga Roda, Blok M, Si Kabayan, and Joshua oh Joshua. While the soap operas he successfully starred in were "When Giving When Receiving", "Diary", and delivered him as the nominee for the Main Actress in the Indonesian and 1994 Sinetron Festival.

He was chosen as Lux soap advertising star who was known to be very strict in choosing the advertising stars. In fact, he was chosen as Lux's Favorite Star in 1997. Besides the beauty soap, Desy also became a star in drug advertisements and other well-known electronic products.
