Who we are? It is not easy to talk about oneself, because one inevitably runs the risk of showing only the presentable side, leaving aside those aspects that one would rather keep well hidden. We therefore feel more comfortable with saying first IN WHO we are, or at least, who we wish to place at the center of our identity. This person is Jesus Christ, the Lord, the One who created everything and who was sent by the Father in his infinite love for each of us, so that we could through him re-establish a relationship of peace and communion with God. Jesus made everything possible this, identifying himself totally in our human nature, bringing all our sins to himself and paying the price, dying on the cross in our place, in order to give us, by faith in him, eternal life. And besides this, Jesus is resurrected, he is alive, he is with us every day, and he continually intercedes for us through the Holy Spirit.

What we are therefore, we owe only to the undeserved gift of His grace. In Christ Jesus we have received the forgiveness of our sins and the certainty of eternal life and, moreover, day by day His grace works in our lives, supporting us in the difficulties, instructing us and transforming us into the many aspects, certainly still to be improved, of our way to be and interact with others.

Given these premises, we can now better say who we are. We are a community of men and women, or better yet, of brothers and sisters united by faith in the Lord Jesus, and united together by the desire to witness to the grace in Christ that each of us received one day. To this end we meet regularly to praise and thank our God together, in remembrance of that sacrifice made about 2000 years ago, once and for all, by the Lord Jesus on the cross. Our meetings focus on the study and preaching of the Word of God, the Bible, because our faith originates from it and it is itself a source of instruction and correction for our Christian maturity. We then have a community life in which we pray for each other and we commit ourselves to come together mutually in practical needs, both physical and moral.

Our community is formally identified within the evangelical movement called the "assemblies of the brothers". This identity is expressed primarily in the purpose of making the Word of God the sole authority and the sole foundation of one's profession of faith. In addition, we have a community-oriented management of the community, which is expressed through a plurality of elders and deacons, recognized independently by the local church. The congregational nature of the community also finds expression in the profound conviction of the universal priesthood of all believers, whereby each brother and sister of the local church is called to put at the service of God's work those gifts of grace that the Holy Spirit gives them. he bestowed, manifesting the unity of the Spirit in the diversity of gifts for the building of the church.
