In all crops vegetables are less temperate than meat, presumably because they are more resistant to deterioration. The angiosperms were the original source of most medicinal plants. Many of the common weeds that populate human settlements, such as nettle, dandelion, and Morugem, have medicinal properties.

The chemical compounds in plants mediate their effects on the human body through processes identical to the well-understood conventional chemical drug compounds, so herbal medicines do not differ much from conventional drugs in terms of functioning. This allows herbal medicines to be as effective as the conventional ones, but they can also have the same potential to cause harmful side effects.
