There is no doubt that Rajbari has been named after any king's house. But when and after the name of a king, the name of the palace came with no specific historical information. The information about the Rajbari on page 150 of Bengal Railway Travel Book (L. N. Mishra published in East Bengal Railway Calcutta 1935) shows that in 1666, Nawab Shayesta Khan was appointed as Subbar in Dhaka. At this time, in this region he sent the struggle for the control of Portuguese pirates by Nawara chief. He lived permanently in Baniboto and built fort at Lalgola. This Lalgana fort is situated on the Lalgla village, a few kilometers north of Rajbari. Sangram Shah and his family later became known as Nawara Chowdhury of Banib. LN Mishra mentioned in the above book, Raja Raja Shah Rukh's business or princely and principal controlling office used to write Rajbari on paper in the current Rajbari area (popular in the public). The Rajbari name was written as the railway station at the end of the book. Note that the Rajbari railway station was established in 1890. Historian Anandanath Roy writes in the history book of Faridpur, written by Nawara Chowdhury, about 300 years ago, Banibi came and settled down. Banani is a crowded place. The Baniyabagish Para, Acharya Para, Bhattacharya Para, Shenhatiparha, Basupara, Benepara, Nunapara were the Bonnib area. The house of Nawara Chowdhury was called Rajbari to the Swadeshi. According to the name of Rajbari named after King Surya Kumar. After the Battle of Palashi, Lakshaksun came under the hood when the British were under the control of some of the servants of Raja Surya Kumar's grandfather, Nawab Siraj-ud-Daula, Nawab Siraj-ud-Daula. Later, his son Dwengendra Prasad developed zamindari in the region. His son, King Surya Kumar, received the title of King for public work in 1885. Rajbari Railway Station was renamed in 1890. According to various information, the name of Rajbari railway station named after the name of King Surya Kumar was taken by the zamindars of Banibazar. It is to be mentioned that the land which was situated at Rajbari railway station at present is owned by zamindars of Baniibah. Because of their protest, the name of the station goes from Rajbari. From these analyzes, it is assumed that the name Rajbari was prevalent long ago. Nawara chief of the area, zamindars, trusted people were called the king. However, the house of Lakshmikol of King Surya Kumar and his predecessors was popularly known as Raja's house. This is how the Rajbari of today. Present Rajbari district was included in different districts at different times. In 1765, after the English gained Bangla, Bihar and Orissa diwani, the northern region of Faridpur (part of present-day Rajbari district) was included in the zamindari of Rajshahi. In the Rajbari district, there was a part of the district of Jessore, at Santamanch, Dolmancha. Rajbari was included in the form of Faridpur district in 1811. In addition, the present upazilas of Rajbari district were included in different districts at different times in the past. Pangsha Thana was once part of Pabna district. In 1859, Pangsha and Baliakandi were brought under newly formed Kumarkhali subdivision. When the Goalanda subdivision was formed in 1871, Pangsha and Rajbari were associated with this new sub-division and the sub-divisional headquarters was established in Rajbari. In 1807, the head quarter of Dhaka Jalalpur was transferred to Faridpur and it was included in Faridpur in Pangsha thana. In 1850, when the district of Faridpur was formed by the collapse of Dhaka Jalalpur during Lord Dalhousie, Goyaland then went under Faridpur. Then Pangsha, Baliakandi was in Pabna district. In 1983, the government declared the Rajbari as a standard upgradation of the thana by transforming each thana into a standard upgraded police station through administrative decentralization. Since 18th July, 1983, the government started the Ordinance and converted it into an upazila in Rajbari upazila. Finally, on 1 March 1984, all subdivisions were declared as district.
