The following is a profile of Sheikh Faris Abbad

Sheikh Faris Abd Rabbo Muhammad Abbad, of Yemeni origin, is considered one of the finest reciters of the Noble Qur’an in the contemporary time, as well as being a co-imam in the Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque in the Doha region of eastern Saudi Arabia. His melodious voice became a major affiliation with the Al-Majd satellite channel for the Holy Quran, which he currently works for.

Sheikh Faris Abbad was born in the capital, Sana'a, on the eleventh of April of the year 1980. He is the second eldest of his siblings. He is married and the father of three children and one daughter.

His interest in the Noble Qur’an appeared from a very early age, so he memorized the Qur’an and sealed it while he frequented memorization schools in a number of mosques in Sana’a, and he graduated from the typical memorization sessions that were opened in Bilal bin Rabah mosque, where he used to mix with senior sheikhs, so he drew from their knowledge and took from them the rules and principles of reading the Holy Qur’an, including the Sheikh Fadel Murad. The sheikh was also influenced by the most well-known reciters, especially the two Sheikhs Abd al-Basit Abd al-Samad and Muhammad al-Muhaysni.

Sheikh Faris Abbad's talent for reciting the Noble Qur’an was evident and everyone was impressed by the sweetness of his voice, which combined melancholy and reverence, so he took the lead in the Taraweeh prayer at Bilal bin Rabah Mosque, starting in 1994 for a period of seven years.

Little by little, Sheikh Faris Abbad's star emerged in the world of reading the Qur’an and his fame extended to reach the rest of the Islamic world, through his abundant audio recordings, most notably the entire recited Qur’an in 2003, whose rights were granted by Qadisiyah recordings, which Sheikh Abbad acknowledges for its great role in spreading his voice and readings, He also recorded the complete Qur’anic khima, the legal ruqyah, the eight hundred verse poem "Nuniyat al-Qahtani" which he chanted with his voice, the preface of Ibn al-Qayyim "The Description of Paradise", the remembrances of the two ends of the day, and the paper touching the paper of magic. This is in addition to his recording of some scientific texts, as Sheikh Abbad is preparing to issue the Muslim Fortress in a new fashion.
