VT Waves PTSD is a powerful brainwave therapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that's triggered by a terrifying event — either experiencing it or witnessing it. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares and severe anxiety, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the event.

Most people who have experienced a traumatizing event will not develop PTSD. People who experience assault-based trauma are more likely to develop PTSD, as opposed to people who experience non-assault based trauma such as witnessing trauma, accidents, and fire events. War veterans are commonly at risk for PTSD.

For over a decade, researchers have used neuroimaging techniques to study brain function in posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Neuroimaging research has yielded important information concerning the structure, neurochemistry, and function of the amygdala, medial prefrontal cortex, anterior cingulate and hippocampus in posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Regions of the brain associated with hyporesponsive, diminished volumes and neuronal integrity are the hypothalamus, inferior parietal lobule, inferior/middle temporal gyrus, medial prefrontal cortex, hippocampus, superior frontal gyrus, anterior cingulate cortex, orbifrontal cortex.
