In the 90s, in the full development of the RST-453 Highway, future Br-486, Rota do Sol Highway, an intercontinental road connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific, we acquired Radio Itaimé FM, 103.9 MHz, São Francisco of Paula / Serra / RS.

In honor of this beautiful road that crossed the territory of this municipality, we call the Radio Rota do Sol FM radio station, 103 MHz, with the slogan: The integration begins here. That's because, the frequency-modulated station had its transmission park on the top of a hill, 945m above sea level. As the antenna was placed on the top of a 80m staked tower, the radio signal was transmitted at the final height of 1025m above the ocean. The distance reached by the station's signal was immeasurable, because the ERP power at the antenna tip was 50,000 Watts. Transmitter Control, Eva Ev.

In this way, we had listeners, with local sound, in the Mercosur / Uruguay, in several provinces, that participated in our programming.
That's why we had an institutional vignette, in the air, that read: Radio Waves at the service of the Peoples of the South.
