Imagine a world where night never gives way to day. Imagine the world that is wrapped up in darkness and twilight, like a heavy quilt and only lonely islands of pale light, with rare, tiny tears, tearing their surface. There is no and there has never been a sun. Here, the light, as if life-giving moisture in the desert, is hidden in the bowels of the earth, feeding all living things. Here in plants the light-bearing juice flows, the pollen looks like flocks of fireflies, and it is collected by fiery bees. Here, inside each creature pulsates a piece of light, and predators hiding in the darkness are eager to suck it up to the drop from a gaping victim. Here, the Eternal Lanterns, set by Temi-who-was-before, illuminate secret paths. Here, among the ruins of quiet desert cities, impassable forest thickets, gloomy wastelands, the lights of those who have lost their appearance forever wander and slowly dissolve into the great night.
Welcome to the world of Flashlight - Oldspark! All the secrets of this gloomy and beautiful world are waiting for you, you just need to be patient and attentive, and most importantly, get a good company for the trip.
Let's look at the light to one of the locals, in a small squat house on the outskirts of the town of Ofenblinka. Here lives the lamplighter Jack and his friend - the sandy fox Felo. Felo is a joyous fidget, but Jack is melancholic by nature and a homebody, and why should he go somewhere when they have such wonderful fiery anemones in the garden, and full thickets of bulbous fruit, not counting every little thing, - to feed them two missing in abundance. And the missing can be traded from stray traders.
Maybe everything would have remained so far: a cozy armchair, a fireplace with iridescent flowers in the depths, fern cocoa with small bags, but ...
There was a rustle in the street, then again and again. Felo started and rushed out. Prudently grabbing the flashlight, Jack hurried after him. And what is it? Someone ruined their garden, sucked the whole world out of almost all the plants. In the distance in the phosphorescent fog a lanky shadow flashed and dived into the breach of the city wall. Felo, of course, rushed there.
So Jack found himself in the labyrinths of the ruins of the old city, Felo got lost somewhere. And nothing left, how to go on a journey, in search of a friend and a way out, simultaneously studying uncharted lands. Will they manage to get out, solve the mysteries of Those-who-was-before, and maybe even get even with an unknown thief?
