'Father from the Beginning' is the first mobile application aimed at Cuban parents, with content contextualized and validated by the National Mother and Child Care Program and the Early Childhood Directorate of the Ministry of Education, within the framework of the UNICEF First Campaign Childhood Matters

Based on the rights, responsibilities and benefits of parents in the first stages of paternity, the application incorporates several informative and interactive sections such as the follow-up section of the pregnancy stage, with information week by week, including reminders of prenatal consultations and recommendations according to national protocols; useful resources for consultation (publications and materials) on breastfeeding, complementary feeding and accident prevention; or the interactive games section to encourage parents to play with their children.

The application forms part of the communication initiative for the development of 'Father from the Beginning' in Cuba, which through different formats and platforms gathers and disseminates essential information about the rights, responsibilities and benefits of parents in the full exercise of their paternity; Its objective is to achieve the co-responsibility of parents in the upbringing and education of children and to ensure that children have the best start in life.
