Visionary acts as a visual aid for people with visual impairments. The app takes a photo of text, extracts text from the image, and displays it to the user in a way that is configurable to their preferences. The extracted text color, background color, and font size can all be customized for an optimal and comfortable reading experience.

Visionary is made to help those with visual impairments ranging from presbyopia, to legal blindness, and various forms of color blindness to be able to read more easily and comfortably.

Visionary uses the Tesseract library to perform Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to detect and display text from images taken by the device's camera. Visionary relies on a trained machine learning algorithm to handle the parsing of text through OCR.
