• To make cold process soap, you heat the oils in yoursoap pot until they're approximately 100 degrees.
• Slowly add the lye-water mixture and blend the soapuntil it thickens to “trace”.
• After the mixture reaches trace, you add your fragrance, color, and additives and pour it into the mold
HOMEMADE LIQUID LAUNDRY SOAP
• Put the heat on medium-high, and stir until completely melted – about 10 minutes.
• Fill up a 5 gallon bucket halfway with hot water.
• Pour in the melted soapmixture. Then, stir in 1 cup of borax & 1 cup ofwashing soda.
HOMEMADE LIQUID HAND SOAP
1. Place the bar soap and water into a small saucepan.
2. Turn on medium heat and stir constantly until soap has dissolved into the water.
3. Let cool completely and pour into the container you plan to use.
4. It will take about 24 hours to completely “gel” but it will not be quite as thick as regular hand soap.

1. Find an old crock pot that can be designated for soap making.
2. Pour the water into a quart canning jar. Slowly add the lye and stir until dissolved.
3. Next, measure your oils and place them in the crock pot. Be sure to measure them while in liquid form, not solid
4. Once you get the lye and oil mixed together, stir by hand for 5 minutes.
5. Once it gets to a light trace, cover it and walk away. DON’T STIR IT!

• No lye, no soap. It's a chemical process that combines the ingredients to form soap and glycerine.
• Properly made, there is no lye left at the end of the saponification process.
