In today's world, people are addicted to their smartphone. Not a minute goes by, when someone isn't constantly checking a social media app. When you install Down Time, you can set a timeout period between launches of the same app. Whether it's Instagram, YouTube or any other addicting phone app, Down Time allows you to take a break from your phone.

Down Time is different from other screen time apps like Digital Wellbeing. Those apps are focused on limiting the amount of time that you spend on the actual app. Down Time is focused on allowing you to control the compulsive behavior of re-launching the same app multiple times.

When you're bored, you might check Instagram. Then two minutes later have the urge to check it again, although nothing has changed. Then you repeat the process two minutes later. With Down Time, you can set a timeout period before you are able to re-launch the same app.
