What is Troodle?
Troodle is a smartphone app that spontaneously organizes joint driving. For this, Troodle uses the almost inexhaustible resource of free seats in the already running cars. In contrast to known systems Troodle uses the currently flowing traffic. Troodle comes without arrangements before departure. That makes Troodle absolutely flexible. Drivers and riders get their mobile freedom.
After activating the app, you determine whether you are traveling as a motorist or want to be taken spontaneously.
As a driver, the Troodle app informs you about people looking for a ride near you. If they are standing along your drive, you can decide to take them along with you for a while.
If you want to be taken spontaneously, you place yourself at a suitable place on the street. These may be parking bays, driveways, stops, etc. It is important to enable motorists to safely stop. In order for drivers to recognize you, you can make themselves felt with your smartphone or the Troodle hand signal. Every beginning is hard! It may take a while for a registered Troodle driver to arrive. This should work better and better with the increase in users.
Why driving together?
Sharing rides is the easiest way to make a difference, reducing traffic, avoiding congestion, saving on emissions and, at the same time, increasing the mobility where it is needed.

By using our app you take an active part in environmental and climate protection, without sacrificing driving. We want to bring people together, create experiences, promote dialogue and enable flexibility. Our system means a new kind of mobility culture as well as a society that wants to keep moving in a sustainable and affordable way.

Troodle is for anyone who wants to do something good for themselves, others and the environment. For travelers and commuters, for young people and seniors. For people with social thinking and ecological motivation, for people who want to exchange and experience, for people who want to make a difference by moving themselves. To visit the city or the countryside, to go shopping or to a friend, to get to work every day or to get to know the country and its people while traveling - simply coming to their destination from anywhere can be what Troodle means to you.
Where can I use Troodle?
Troodle works best when a large number of users are registered in a region. Therefore, in the coming weeks, we will make targeted attention in communities and regions on Troodle who already have contact with us and want Troodle as a complement to mobility. With these regionally limited projects we want to show that Troodle works.

Do not hesitate to set up the Troodle app on your smartphone. As long as there is not enough user density in your region, Troodle can not be used optimally.
