Sheila On 7 is an Indonesian music group which was established on May 6, 1996 in Yogyakarta. The band was originally a group of school children from several high schools in Yogyakarta. 5 members at the beginning were Duta (vocals) from SMA 4, Adam (bass) from SMA 6, Eross (guitar) from SMA Muhammadiyah I, Sakti (guitar) from De Britto High School, and Anton (drums) from Bopkri High School I.

They agreed to form a band and bring songs from the Oasis group, U2, Bon Jovi, Guns N 'Roses, etc. At that time, they also had several original songs of their own work and they tried to introduce and bring the songs with confidence in various performances.

Sheila on 7 is one of Indonesia's popular music groups with Duta personnel (Akhdiyat Duta Modjo, vocal), Eross (Eross Candra, guitar), Adam (Adam Muhammad Subarkah, bass), and Brian (Brian Kresna Putro, drums). The group that was established in Yogyakarta, May 6, 1996, originally called Sheila Gank was taken from the words Sheila from Celtic which means musical. This name was later changed to On Seven, which means seven scales in music. SO7 in the course of music has undergone several changes in formation. In October 2004, Brian came in to replace Anton who was issued because he was considered undisciplined.

Then in March 2006, Sakti retired to study in Pakistan. Sheila On 7's albums include, SHEILA ON 7 (1999), CLASSIC STORY FOR THE FUTURE (2000), 07 DES (2002), OST. 30 DAYS LOOKING FOR LOVE (2003), PEJANTAN TANGGUH (2004), THE VERY BEST OF SHEILA ON 7 JALAN TERUS (2005), 507 (2006), DETERMINING DIRECTIONS (2008), SAILING (2011), and GOOD SEASONS (2014) this is the eighth album, the last album with the label Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia. Then they will release their ninth album FAVORIT FILM (2018), with the marker being their first album released indie.
