Working across different countries and interacting with several patients and professionals, over the last 20 years, as a physician, I have noted a dire need of information in regards to supporting health.
It is this need that led to the combination of the technical knowledge of my team, embellished with up to date medical information that led to this app.
The app seeks to support the public as well as general healthcare professionals with information and does not replace the sound judgement of a clinician.
By going ahead to install and use this app, you agree to our terms and conditions as contained in our privacy policy.
These are the advice I would give you in regards to using this app:
For doctors, nurses, Community Health Officers, other healthcare workers as well as the public
The 'Symptom Guide' would be relevant to you. Charting the temperature of your fever can help inform the doctors and or healthcare professionals regarding the probable diagnosis as well as monitor response to treatment.
For my dear patients, the public and medical students....
All the sections are relevant to you.
Highlights of some aspect of the app are as follows:
Symptom Guide - This is interactive and can at best provide an insight to the cause of the fever based on response to leading questions that are provided.
Temperature Chart - This keeps a record of the temperature of the user of the app, real time. This is a relative measurement and so either Fahrenheit or Celsius; it does not matter. Ensure that the entered unit is consistent.
It will automatically generate a chart and automatically inputs the time for user as well. By default, it only shows temperature up to the 4th or 5th reading. It automatically deletes previous entries for any recent 4th or 5th entry.
The chart is only visible after inputting at least 2 entries.
Symptom Records - It is not unusual to forget your past medical history and some of the symptoms that may be occurring when you are before the doctor. This section therefore, is to support you to enter and save your most relevant symptoms.
This can easily be snapped and sent over to your provider (if your phone supports it), in areas where e-medicine is being practiced for quick support.
Non-specific management of fever- this portal provides support regarding how to handle fever prior to definitive diagnosis. Most fevers are self limiting and can easily be handled. If the measures suggested in this app do not provide good response to you and or your patient (or loved one), please contact your nearest health centre as soon as possible.
Fever Game! - You may not be sick all the time. It is also hoped that as you recover, you should be able to relax with this game that helps you to spell words regarding causes of fever, about fruits and your body.
Finally, I would appeal to you to share the app, accessible via the menu bar.
