This application has been developed as a help software for calculating current transformers for measurement and protection, checking of calculated transformers and consulting manual of tables and diagrams of current transformers to find the information of a measurement or protection CT.

This application allows a very approximate calculation of a CT for measurement and protection so that it does not saturate in the event of a short circuit fault and also selects the most optimal CT according to the input information.

As results it presents all the development of calculation and graphs of tensions that the TC would develop according to the input data.

The methodology is applicable to the ANSI and IEC standards and gives us the CT with the best relationship in the primary, the most optimal CT burden and the CT class (Cxxx or xxPyy).
The Current Transformers Application, is very simple to manipulate, guides the user in the data entry and throws him all the development that allows him to incorporate it into a calculation memory that supports the selection of the TC's. In addition the stress diagrams is a very good help to further optimize the selection of the CTs.
