Rupali is developed to serve 14 million fishers who are working round the clock to serve the nutrition needs of Bangladesh. It is effort of these men and women which ensures that delicious fish are served on our plate. Their work has grown the fisheries sector to be one of the most productive and dynamic sectors in the country. Globally, Bangladesh is third in inland fish with production of 1.48 million tonnes, fifth in aquaculture output of 2.2 million tonnes & eleventh in marine fish catch with production of 0.13 million tonnes.

To cater to the need of the fisher community, a simple & easy to understand mobile app 'Rupali' has arrived.

What is Rupali Application?

At the heart of Rupali application is an aquaculture advisory service. The purpose of the Rupali is to significantly enhance the capacity of (smallholder) fish farmers and extension agents through customized advisory services on advanced aquaculture practice and access to quality inputs. It will help raise awareness and build resilience of the aqua farming community as well as expand the industry as a whole. Rupali is now available in Android.

Objective
The primary objective of the project is to develop an open digital platform for input & aquaculture advisory services to increase productivity & efficiency for the aqua farming community. Mobile application-based aquaculture information and extension services platform will provide timely and affordable access to vital information to all small-scale farmers in Bangladesh to increase the productivity & efficiency to a significant level.

You can access Rupali by downloading the Android Application from Google Play Store. You can also use
the web version. Just scroll up to the first page, if you want to register.
