This app will automatically starts keeping track of count events using the user specified bpm (Beat Per Minute). The user can either choose from the pre-defined BPM values (40, 60, 120), or manually enter the value of desired bpm. Then the app will start keeping track of the counts while the timer is running.

This app also provides a useful ‘BPM Calculator’ which helps the user determine the bpm by simply starting the timer, then recording each beat/event (by pressing a simple + key). Once the user stops the calculator, the app automatically calculates the bpm using the elapsed time vs the number of counts.

This app can be useful in a variety of situations where either the user needs to find out the bpm value (such as finding a beat of a music), or when the user wants to simple keep track of beats/blows/events given the bpm.

***Geotechnical Use:
One of the major use of this app is in geotechnical inspections with using a hydraulic hammer for driving steel piles into the ground. In this case, usually the geotechnical inspector is responsible for counting the hammer blows over a pre-defined length of the pile (usually 25 cm) and record it on their sheet. This makes the inspector’s life much easier by doing the tedious task of counting for them. These hammers usually have a set bpm for each energy setting which can be used with this app. In the unlikely case the bpm is unknown, the inspector can easily use the ‘BPM Calculator’ function to calculate it.

***Music use:
The "BPM Calculator" feature of this app can be used to easily figure out the beat of a song, or music piece.
