Tired of the same old 5K races or silly scavenger hunts? So are we, that’s why we created Treasure Race. It’s a race without a starting line, a race where physical fitness is irrelevant, a race where technology and the real world merge, a race where the outcome could change your life. It’s a race for the twenty-first century where a team relies on cleverness, camaraderie, patience, technology, and diversity for success.
Treasure Race is an app-based excursion designed to engage your team in a multi-day adventure throughout your selected state. Each race will vary in size, duration, and in total number of miles traveled, be prepared for unpredictable circumstances.
Each state is divided into 5 regions with each region containing 5 clues of differing point value. Teams will independently select the region in which they prefer to start the race; there is no official starting line. Once a region is selected your team will be restricted to that region until all 5 clues have been answered. A region is considered complete once 20,000 points have been earned.
Some clues will have multiple parts, or sub-clues. These sub-clues will be prompted on the app as your team reaches specific checkpoints, or as correct answers are entered. Sub-clues are considered a part of the main clue and do not net points. Points are only awarded once the clue is solved in its entirety.
If at any time a clue cannot be solved a team may opt to abort the region. Aborting a clue will commence the Goose Chase. The Goose Chase will send a team in pursuit of alternate locations, and substitute tasks. Once the Goose Chase is completed the 20,000 points for that region will be earned and the clue options for the next region will be unlocked.
Once a team completes all 5 regions and earns 100,000 points, the X region will be unlocked and the final clue will be revealed. The first team to solve this final clue will receive the treasure.

The Basics:
Teams must consist of 2 – 6 members; all members must travel together for the entirety of the race.
Race territories have been divided into 5 regions. The answers to the regional clues will be contained within each respective region. If you are racing in region 3, all answers will be in region 3.
Races will launch rain or shine.
While most clues rely upon cleverness, skill, and brainpower, curating a well-rounded team will be essential, as some challenges require physical aptitude, extreme patience, and a sense of humor.
Each team is responsible for wireless/internet access, gas, lodging, toll-roads, fees for driving infractions, and other incidental costs.
Racing will begin at 8am each day and will conclude each day at 9pm indicated by a pause in app functionality.
