Al-Hussein is a revolutionary leader who lived in the seventh century, rose up against injustice and corruption and made the utmost sacrifices for the sake of social justice. Hussein gave his life and everything he had for the sake of dignity for those around him.
Al-Hussein Ibn Ali was born in the year 620 AD to a family famous for its values, dignity and love of peace. He was raised by his grandfather Muhammad (the last prophet in Islam). Al-Hussein knew his sincerity, generosity and love for all people without distinguishing between rich or poor, Arab or non-Arab, black or white. This is why he gathered the loved ones around him and his family.
Al-Hussein was an honorable man, known for his honesty and sincerity
Although he was considered a prince in his tribe and a figure of great importance in the Islamic state, Al-Hussein broke all class and social traditions and used to sit with the poor and needy, share bread and salt with them, and offer them assistance as much as he could.

Not long after Muhammad’s death, power in the Islamic nation was transferred to the corrupt, who sought to erase the moral and human values ​​that Muhammad worked so hard to spread, while the new ruler was increasing illiterate people, determined to extend his full control.
Hussein took a great pause for social justice.
Al-Hussein witnessed an increase in the rights and dignity of his people by stripping society of its good values. The rule increases with an iron hand and ordered Hussein to pledge allegiance to him and give him legitimacy in his judgment.

Hussein stood before two options: pledging allegiance to the tyrant Yazid and standing with his hands crossed in front of the suffering of his people, or standing in the face of injustice, whatever the price.

Hussein remembered the words of his grandfather Muhammad:

“I prefer jihad as a word of truth for an unjust Sultan.”

Hussein made the utmost sacrifices.
Hussein refused to pledge allegiance and was forced to leave his land under threat of death. Al-Hussein, with his family and companions, went to the east to gather support for his revolution and to prevent any bloodshed. On his way, an army of more than thirty thousand stopped him in a land called Karbala.

In the year 680 AD, after three days of heat, hunger and thirst, Hussain fought in defense of his principles and the dignity of his people. Despite their small number, Hussein and his 72 companions stood up to this huge army and did not fear death.
