Through the power of augmented reality, you will get an inside look at Congenital Sucrase-Isomaltase Deficiency (CSID). CSID is a disorder that causes a reduction of the enzyme activity needed to break down and absorb table sugar (sucrose).

Toggle between a healthy digestive system and a CSID system. Take a close-up look at the inner wall of the small intestines and then zoom into the very surface of the microvilli, where the sucrase-isomaltase enzyme is expressed. CSID may include any or all of the following symptoms: chronic, watery diarrhea, gassiness, bloating, abdominal pain, and constipation. Symptoms can vary from mild to severe. Infants, children, and adults are all susceptible. Diagnosing CSID can be difficult because the symptoms are similar to several other, more common gastrointestinal disorders, including toddler’s diarrhea, IBS-D, celiac disease, or lactose intolerance.

Only your doctor can diagnose you. Share this app with your physician. No 3D glasses required!
