# THE MAIN TASK OF DLHKKEPRI (Riau Islands Environment and Forestry Service).
The Office of the Environment and Forestry of the Riau Islands Province is the Regional Apparatus of the Riau Islands Province Government which has the task of formulating and implementing technical policies in the fields of environment and forestry and carrying out the tasks of deconstruction and assistance in accordance with the scope of their duties.


In carrying out the tasks as referred to in paragraph (1) the Office of Environment and Forestry organizes functions:
1. Implementation of secretarial activities including planning and evaluation, financial, general and staffing;
2. Preparation of plans and programs in the field of environment and forestry;
3. Formulation of technical policies, facilitation, coordination and technical guidance in the field of pollution control and environmental damage;
4. Formulation of technical policies, facilitation, coordination and technical guidance in the field of waste management, B3 waste and environmental impact studies;
5. Formulation of technical policies, facilitation, coordination and technical guidance in the field of conservation, community empowerment and enforcement of environmental and forestry law;
6. Formulation of technical policies, facilitation, coordination and technical guidance in the field of forest governance and utilization of forest products;
7. Coordinating technical policies with relevant agencies; and carry out other official duties given by the Governor.


# The purpose of DLHKKEPRI
1. Maintaining the quality of LH that provides carrying capacity, pollution control, biodiversity and control of climate change.
2. Maintaining the extent and function of forests to sustain life, providing forests for social activities, people's economy and maintaining environmental quality, protecting forests, and maintaining the balance of ecosystems and the existence of resources
3. Realizing regional government institutions that have moral character with effective, efficient, transparent, accountable, and resource personnel with integrity, competency and serving the community
