Tafsir Al-Jalalain literally: "Tafsir dua Jalal") is a well-known Book of Tafsir Al-Qur'an, originally compiled by Jalaluddin al-Mahalli in 1459, and then continued by his student Jalaluddin as-Suyuthi in 1505.

Jalalain's interpretation, generally regarded as the Sunni Classical Interpretation Book which is widely used as a reference, because it is considered easy to understand and consists of only one volume.

This book is the only Tafsir which makes up two people. Uniquely they do not do it simultaneously. Although it is said to have been composed by two people, actually Al-Mahalli and As-Suyuthi did not do it at the same time. Each of the different composers of that generation only wrote half the interpretation of the Koran in their time. Because when the first mufassir compiled the first part of Jalalain's Tafsir, the second mufassir had just begun his wandering in search of knowledge.

The Jalalain Tafsir Book has been made, the basic book in all pesantren in Indonesia is for those who want to learn the Al-Quran Interpretation. The language is concise, compact, and easy to understand.
