It is an abbreviated code initially developed for commercial radiotelegraph communications, and later adopted by other radio services, such as the radioaffice service. The codes can be transmitted as questions or as statements; in order to discern the questions, in case of phonology, the code is intoned as a question, and in the case of using radiotelegraphy in Morse, the interrogative sequence is transmitted to the code (... - - ..). The first sets of Q codes were created in 1909 by the British government as (a list of abbreviations for use by coast stations and ships).

The Q codes were effective to facilitate communications between radio maritime operators who spoke different languages. Over time, more Q codes have been introduced as changes resulting from the current use of radiotelegraphy were updated.

In general terms, they are classified into three groups:

QAA to QNZ are used for aeronautical communications.

QOA to QQZ are used for maritime communications.

QRA to QUZ are used for general use.

Radio operators and members of private security could have the mission of supporting communications in emergencies, knowledge of the Q code corresponding to all areas is very important, with special emphasis on the third block (QRA to QUZ) .

Knowing it is of the utmost importance for everyone, since good communication between the different members of private security may depend on their domain in some cases of emergency or poor phonetic communication.

In this tool that INCASPRI presents, the code can be heard both in the question and in the answer, as well as a summary of the codes most used by private security.

Much success in your learning.
