It had been a while since many BRASPIRENSES imagined having a community radio here. We needed a media outlet to disseminate the main news and information of interest to the people of Brás Pires, which were given only by the sound service of the Igreja Matriz.

One day, the then parish priest, Father Anselmo José dos Santos, mentioned the matter and was willing to join a group of people to organize a movement and raise funds for the installation of the radio. He himself gave us valuable information about the process - official authorization, legalization, necessary equipment, etc.

Several people got together and started to approach the subject, to discuss problems and possible solutions, in this group were Father Anselmo, the Director of EE São Luís, Maria do Rosário Rivelli Cardoso Soares, professor Ana Maria de Magalhães Rivelli, the Engineer of Minas, Leonardo Miranda da Silva, as well as the entire Fiscal Council, thus electing Mining Engineer Leonardo Miranda da Silva as President of Rádio Braspirense. The BRASPIRENSE Population was the main responsible for the construction of this project, they had been raffling for several years, donating heifers for auction, all in favor of raising funds for the acquisition of equipment and also the City Hall was willing to pay part of the expenses, as construction. President Leonardo Miranda took charge of the bureaucratic part, the documentation required by law and the construction of the Work. Finally, on the afternoon of February 7, 2020, the much-desired installation / official inauguration of the radio took place, with the presence of its organizers, local authorities and large numbers of popular people.

Then, the broadcaster went on the air with its programming, with the young Vinícius Costa and Lucinei Leandro Costa as announcer, broadcasting news, information, interviews, religious celebrations, music, messages and performing a harmonious integration between Braspirenses, thanks to the collaboration of your advertisers.
