On April 10, 2013, the first official broadcaster OM from Paraibuna / SP entered the air, which would later become the pioneer in all of Brazil in the execution and dissemination of sertaneja root music and religious programming, reaching in time fantastic the first place of preference of the Paraiba public. With the fantasy name of Rádio Grande Vale, homage to the old name of the Paraíba Valley region; the broadcaster with restricted coverage almost exclusively to the municipality, had a popular program. Without adequate technical resources and consequently without commercial support, the station was experiencing several problems and could not even be considered a competition radio in the market. It was then that his administration decided to model it, meeting the demand of the regional public. Acquired by the current administrators, the station began to undergo several modifications. During the period of adjustment and settlement of accounts, he identified himself by frequency (1580 Mhz) and looked for ways to excel in the market, and gradually he was molding himself to be what he is today.
From an eclectic program, the station gave wings to freedom ... That was when Rádio Grande Vale OM was born. With a totally national program and giving space to new root music, which in a certain way became, from our point of view, the new Brazilian Popular Music. At the time, an attitude of change that was much questioned and even criticized by people linked to the area, was strengthened every day by the feedback given by listeners.
Serving its listeners in a special, individualized way, with attention and affection were the differentials of Rádio Grande Vale. The program was aimed at listeners, due to their needs, catering to a huge range of people, from rural residents to businessmen in large centers.
Information, news, music, religion, are some of the items that were addressed by the Administration in a peculiar, innovative way, which reflect the success achieved in such a short time.
And to the surprise of the less accredited, in a short time Rádio Grande Vale OM achieved audience figures never seen in all of Brazil. From a simple and modest placement in the ranking of the most listened, the station gradually conquered better placements.
This growing audience is a source of great pride and is dedicated to the thousands of listeners who elected Rádio Grande Vale OM, "Paixão do Vale!" of the people of the Paraíba Valley.
And to crown our work even more, on December 6, 2017, migration to FM was granted, on the 97.9 MHz frequency.
