The term Connected Stories, which emerged in the late 1990s, comes against Western thinking that historiographic fields separate rather than unite through their network of relationships.

Based on the Portuguese maritime history of the fifteenth century, it is clear that such thinking is salutary, given that the "connections" and motives that were outlined for the success of the Portuguese maritime venture were not by chance, and it was not even perpetuated for centuries to come by randomness. But through these "distinct" and "separate" stories only for purely conventional reasons, but which are in fact chains of the same stream, of simultaneous events, or in deriving from them.

Thus, this game brings out the Portuguese maritime conquests of the fifteenth century. They are not dispersed in isolated contexts, but rather, it is a "continuum" that starts from the market need, and runs from the conquest of Ceuta (1415) to the discovery of the spice route (1498).

The use of the game brings out the technological development and playfulness that this tool has today, offering the player the learning of history, aligned with the challenge and entertainment that games bring.
