Oftentimes we meet some people who still do not understand what is the nature of the science of jurisprudence. In fact, I was so ignorant of the science of jurisprudence that it was assumed that jurisprudence was only the words of human beings which were not based on the arguments of shari'i. Fiqh is considered to be merely the words of the Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i and Hanbali schools.

When someone has a view of jurisprudence as mentioned above then easily what is in his mind is the phrase "Let's leave the school and it's time to return to the Koran and al-Hadith".

This sentence can be true and it can also be wrong. Considered true because indeed the Prophet advised us to return to the Koran and al-Hadith, even those two heirlooms were passed down from the Prophet to his people. Considered wrong because indeed not everyone can understand the Koran and al-Hadith correctly. Therefore not everyone can tamper with verses of the Koran and al-Hadith with their own superficial understanding.

Maybe he thought if he had returned to the Koran and al-Hadith by means of his own understanding then it could already be said as someone who was really on the right path. Yet to understand the Koran and al-Hadith required many conditions of knowledge that must be mastered and understood.

Although it is true that in fact the Ulema 4 Madzhab when both using the Koran and al-Hadith there were many differences or khilafiyah between them. This is a reasonableness. Because the methods or rules used are different.
