Kafarat fasting or also commonly referred to as kifarat is one of the obligatory fasting besides Ramadan fasting. Kafarat fasting aims to erase the sins that have been committed. Why does someone have to work on expiation fasting? Not enough with repentance nasuha only? Because in the Koran it is stated that a person is required to work on expiation if he has violated some major sins. The sins that cause someone to have to do expiation include intercourse or sexual intercourse during the day of the month of Ramadan, breaking the Ihram during the Hajj or Umrah, likening the wife to mother and breaking promises. Every sin that is committed must be atoned for by fasting in the allotted time. For the measurement of how many days must do fasting expiation varies, depending on the weight of sin committed. If you ignore this fast until you die, then the law is a sin and it is clear that Allah SWT does not like people who commit sins, Therefore, remember whether we are both clean from the violation? If you feel you've done one of them then the law of fasting expiation becomes fardhu 'ain. Work immediately before Allah Ta'ala takes our lives because if that time comes, fasting that is not redeemed will pile up into sin. Kafarat fasting is done like doing ordinary fasting. In lafadz, do not forget to add the fardhu sentence which if translated into Indonesian means that it is mandatory because fasting is a Muslim's duty. Reading the intentions of kifarat or kafarat is done once a day every day at dawn when eating a number of kafarat days must be redeemed. Intention is the essence of prayer and therefore reading it must also be truly from the deepest heart.
