Suing the Book of ar-Ruh

For some circles, Ibn Qayyim al-Jauziyyah (d. 751 H) is a figure who is considered quite credible and represents the salaf cleric. Moreover he was one of the closest students of Ibn Taymiyyah (d. 728 AH).

His opinions are heard, his books are studied, his fatwas are followed. At least by those who today call themselves as followers of the salaf manhaj.

But there is one book by Ibn Qayyim (d. 751 H) which is considered quite strange and strange by them.

How not, in the book mentioned that the salaf scholars agree that the dead can hear the words of people who are still alive and find out who pilgrimage.

In the book, it is also mentioned the existence of fraternity and fadhilah tomb pilgrimage on Friday, the existence of fraternity and fadhilah reading the Qur'an, especially Surah Yasin at the grave, transfer of reading the Koran to the deceased may and up to and mayqit mayit after being buried also included sobriety.

Though these things include rituals that are considered heretical by those who call themselves the followers of the Manafah Salaf. How come it was considered sunnah by someone who was a role model in the salaf bermanhaj.

That book is the Book of ar-Ruh.

So some of these circles are not willing if Ibn Qayyim (d. 751 H) argues like that. One of the narrations that was built was to doubt if the book of ar-Ruh was really written by Ibn Qayyim. This is the first possibility. The second possibility, the book of ar-Ruh was written during the early days of studying religion, before knowing Ibn Taymiyah (d. 751 H).
