Daniel Hernandez (born in Bushwick, Brooklyn, United States, May 8, 1996, age 24) is known by his stage name 6ix9ine (pronounced "six nine") also known as Tekashi6ix9ine or Tekashi, is an American rapper.
Born in Bushwick, Brooklyn, an area in New York City

Hernandez became famous on social media because the Instagram post in July 2017 that went viral on Reddit and Twitter needed a reference where Hernandez's appearance was eccentric (rainbow hair, and some backs numbered 69 on his body).

Hernandez's commercial debut single "Gummo" was released on November 10, 2017 and finally reached number 12 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The single was certified platinum from the RIAA on March 5, 2018. The next single named "Kooda" debuted at 61 on the Hot 100 on week 23 December 2017. On January 14, 2018, Hernandez released his third single "Keke" with Fetty Wap and A Boogie wit da Hoodie.

Shortly after, Hernandez announced his debut mixtape, Day69. The mixtape was released on February 23, 2018, and debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 album chart with 55,000 units equivalent to an album, of which 20,000 were pure sales.
