Want a free and easy to use A-Z guide to crystals and minerals packed with geological and metaphysical information for over 500 crystals, plus crystal quizzes and games? Meet the crystal app created by collectors, for collectors!
All the A - Z crystal information is, and will always remain, totally FREE! You can choose to upgrade for a small, one time fee, and unlock a huge amount more with our latest update, including the ability to photograph, catalogue, tag and organise your own collection, explore an interactive crystal world map, use interactive 3D models to learn about crystal systems and growth formations, a whole series of Quick Reference Guides covering both geological and metaphysical for on the go, plus a Moon Calendar explaining the different phase of the moon and the different special full moons each month.
We're the husband and wife team who founded and run The Citrine Circle and we built this reference guide app to help people keep track of their collection, and to learn more about the amazing world of crystals and minerals that keeps us loving going to work each day. We both have a passion for crystals, and education, so we'll keep on updating with new crystals, but if anyone notices anything missing, please let us know. We're only the two of us, we don't have a research team working for us, but we'll keep on working hard to keep the guide as full and up to date as possible!
Browse through the crystals by name or image gallery using either the artwork or real photos, search for different crystals by country, or use the extensive filters to hone down your search further. Want a blue crystal that corresponds to the Throat Chakra and aids meditation? No problem! Looking for a green crystal from South America with a vitreous lustre? We can show you loads! Looking to learn about a random new crystal? Use the dice button to pick one at random!
Each crystal entry contains a General Information tab with an overview, alternate names, crystal care and any potential fakes to look out for; a Geological tab detailing the Chemical Formula, Hardness, Colour Variations, Crystal System, Streak, Lustre, UV reactivity and the main locations it can be found; and a Healing tab detailing the Metaphysical Properties, Chakra, Zodiac, Elemental, Numerology and Planetary associations. You can also use the Own and Wishlist buttons to build up your collection and quickly access them using the filters to only show ones you own.
The new Collection section lets you take photos of your crystals and add notes and link them to the crystals in the A - Z so you can use the same filter sections such as hardness, chakra etc. You can also create a completely customisable set of groups and tags to create your own filters, for example sorting them by the room in your house, or whether they’re pieces you bought or dug yourself - the possibilities are endless!
We’re big on education, so we’ve expanded the Learn section to delve more into the science behind crystals. We’ve added Quick Reference Guides such as the Crystal Dictionary to help you master the jargon, Crystal Trade Names to help you tell what something actually is and sections for Crystal Care and Identifying Crystals. If you’re a science student, check out our guides to Lustre and the Mohs Hardness Scale, or if you’re more into the metaphysical properties of crystals, then check out the Chakram Zodiac and Crystal Shape Meanings!
We've also included some simple but fun games, including 4 different styles of Quiz to help you learn, and a Pairs memory game using the gorgeous crystal artwork.
This app is not designed as an identification app, it's designed to help you learn about each crystal. This is not a fixed and exhaustive list of crystals, we're always looking to add, update and expand this app to make it as useful as possible. If you think of a crystal we have not yet added, please drop us an email with any suggestions!
