Gus Baha (K.H. Ahmad Bahauddin Nursalim) is a Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) scholar who came from Narukan, Kragan, Rembang, Central Java. Gus Baha is known as one of the expert commentators' scholars who has deep knowledge of the Koran. He is one of the students of the charismatic scholar, K.H. Maemun Zubair, Rembang.

Tafsir al-Jalalain is a well-known commentary on the Koran, originally compiled by Jalaluddin al-Mahalli in 1459, and then continued by his student Jalaluddin as-Suyuthi in 1505. This tafsir book is generally considered to be a classical Sunni commentary book. which is widely used as a reference, because it is considered easy to understand and consists of only one volume.

Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) is the largest Islamic organization in Indonesia. This organization was founded on January 31, 1926 and is engaged in the religious, educational, social and economic sectors. NU adheres to Ahlussunah waljama'ah, which is a mindset that takes a middle path between extreme aqli (rationalists) and extreme naqli (scripturalists).
