This app helps hard of hearing or deaf people to communicate with other people.

It transforms speech to text and display it with a default tunable big text size for people with not optimal vision capability, which may be the case for old people.

The application is as simple as possible to be usable by non tech people.

It offers several operating modes to fit to the different use cases depending on the type of devices used but also to fit to the conversation context and the number of people involved in it.

These modes are:

1) Not connected conversation mode: the application runs on a smartphone or a tablet which goes from the hands of the person who speaks to the hands of the hard of hearing person who reads the speech turned into text.

2) Connected conversation mode: the hard of hearing person and the other people have each the application running on their smartphone or tablet. All devices are connected with Bluetooth. The words from each person are displayed by the application of the hard of hearing person with a different color and his/her photo. This mode is convenient for family dinner conversations.

3) Always listening mode: the application do speech recognition and display the result in real time. This mode for good results requests optimum utterance conditions and an internet connection. This mode is available only in the paid version.

4) Phone Call mode helps hard of hearing people to make phone calls and to understand what the other person in the call will say as the words will be displayed on the screen of the smarphone/tablet. This mode request another phone with a high quality loudspeaker. This mode is available only in the paid version.

The basic free (lite) application requires no subscription and is not dependant to any server connection. No internet or wifi connection is needed except for mode 3 in order to get good enough results.

All data remains locally on the device.

The basic free (lite) version of the application is available with ads , limits the connected mode simultaneous connections to 2 and doesn't provide modes 3 and 4; with subscription you can remove these limitations like in the paid version of the application that displays no ads , allows up to 4 simultaneous connections of contacts with the hard of hearing person and support mode 3 and 4.

I have created that application when my father became almost deaf. Tired to be forced to use a piece of paper and a pen for being able to communicate with him when close to him, or to send him letters when far from him (as phone calls were no longer possible), I had the idea of this application.

I hope it could be helpful for people facing similar situation.
