Guttmann Cognitest® is an application for the assessment of cognitive performance owned by the Fundació Institut Guttmann.

Guttmann Cognitest®, in no case, has diagnostic validity nor can it legally replace or question the diagnosis made by a physician. Its result is only indicative.

Guttmann Cognitest® includes a series of tasks that have been specifically designed to measure aspects such as attention, processing speed, fluid intelligence, short-term memory or working memory. Guttmann Cognitest® is part of the Guttmann cognitive training platform, NeuroPersonalTrainer®.

To access the Guttmann Cognitest® cognitive assessment tasks, you have to log in with your email and password.

This access account has been automatically generated for you prior to a visit to the Institut Guttmann or for a rehabilitation program. Or you have been notified as a participant in one of the research projects carried out by the Institut Guttmann.

To do this, the application takes the user through 7 tasks:

- Inverse lights: it measures working memory, a function that consists of the ability to retain information in our memory temporarily, and then manipulate or elaborate it.

- Images and numbers: measures the ability to store information by association between elements (pairs of images and numbers), to later retrieve it from a partial knowledge of its content.

- Logical series: measures fluid intelligence, ability to think and reason logically and abstractly in order to solve problems.

- Matrix of figures: measures selective or focused attention, which is the ability to focus attention on a specific stimulus, ignoring other stimuli present in the environment that could be distracting.

- Colored circles: measures the ability to resolve interferences that occur between conflicting information when making a decision.

- Rotated figures: this task combines visuospatial skills (ability to analyze, represent and mentally manipulate visual material) with processing speed (ability to perform mental tasks quickly).

- Long-term memory: like the first task, it aims to measure the ability to retrieve information about a previously memorized association, but in this case after a longer time has elapsed.
