Our History - Radio City 94.5 FM

In the month of August 1993 the first broadcasts of Radio Cidade 94.5 FM went live. The history of the broadcaster that covers various cities of Minas Gerais is a true archive of the life of our people.

The communication vehicle was born with the radio name Educadora FM de porteirinha, a neighboring municipality, to which the station belonged before the political-administrative emancipation of the host city Nova porteirinha. Over the years, always reporting, denouncing and participating directly in the transformations of society, the station came to be called “our FM radio”.

A true spokesman for culture, folklore, sports, informing and entertaining the population, the broadcaster who has always proudly carried the nickname “people's radio” has met with pioneering and joviality the technological explosion that has invaded the radio world. Vinyl records and CDs have left the scene, making room for modern audio, mp3, wave and other editing and broadcasting programs that guarantee the quality broadcasting that the broadcaster offers today.

On February 1, 2007, renamed “City 94.5 FM”, the station joined the Bio-Solo group of entrepreneur and agricultural producer Juracy Fagundes Jácome, which expanded the radio's qualities, using it as a tool for transformation. social and public opinion, not only from Nova Porteirinha, but from all over the north of Minas, to all entities based on the strengthening of regional traditions, spreading, supporting and spreading the simple and human way of our people.
