A glimpse of the presence of the GBI Abadi Jambi, started from a prayer group called Philadelpia, active in Jalan Gajah Mada, a prayer group consisting of only a few young people gradually developed into hundreds of people.
As time went by, we felt that this forum needed Fatherhood so that in 1996, we agreed to merge with the parent organization of the Bethany Indonesian Church, the Bethany Congregation or the Succesfull Bethany Family (now known as the Healing Movement Ministry) under spiritual builder Ps. Dr. Ir. Niko Njotorahardjo.
A few months later, religious activities moved from Jalan Gajah Mada to the Abadi Hotel on Jalan Gatot Subroto Jambi. Since then the revival began and God sent many souls.
Even the fire of the Revival that hit our church had an impact on Palembang and Bangka, so we opened branches in Palembang and Bangka.
In 2004, this church experienced divisions and some congregations broke away and opened a new church. At the same time, an Indonesian Synod Center for the Bethel Church Center was issued which prohibited the use of the Bethany name and had to use the street name or place where the church was located, so we agreed to change the name from GBI Bethany Jambi to GBI Jl. Gatot Subroto - Jambi, also known as GBI Abadi Jambi.
Right on September 18, 2017, God gave a meetinghouse on an area of 3800m2, which on August 14, 2019 was inaugurated by Ps. Dr. Ir. Niko Njotorahardjo by the name of My Home Convention Center (MHCC Jambi).
Thus a glimpse of the GBI Abadi Jambi church journey, may the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head of the Church bless us all.
